Obama Administration fix could destabilize the new exchanges

National Association of Insurance Commissioners has announced the President’s decision to allow insurers to extend plans that had been slated for cancellation could destabilize the new insurance exchanges and potentially lead to higher premiums.

Individual states are still considering how to respond; some have rejected the voluntary extension proposal, and others said they will try to make it work.
