The Idaho Department of Insurance says numerous Idaho health benefits carriers have discontinued individual or small group health plans. That means many Idaho consumers are now receiving letters from their carriers announcing the discontinuation of their policies.
Department of Insurance Director Bill Deal said, “Most of the existing individual plans do not meet the criteria of health plans under the 2014 federal requirements.”
