In a report by IdahoReporter.com, Idaho Department of Insurance Deputy Director Tom Donovan said his agency does not have information comparing current health insurance rates with those of previous years.
Idaho’s insurance exchange doesn’t have the information, either.
Legislators who supported a state-based exchange in 2013 said that at the time, Idaho had some of the nation’s lowest health insurance prices. They also said a state-based exchange may help maintain those low rates.
