The Court said health insurers can’t be forced to turn over reams of data detailing how much they pay for medical claims.
In a 6-2 decision, justices ruled that the State of Vermont and 17 other states which gathered and analyzed the insurers’ data conflicted with federal laws covering reporting requirements for employer health plans.
