The Graham-Cassidy bill is officially dead

The Graham-Cassidy bill is officially dead after key Senators John McCain, Ted Cruz, Susan Collins, and Rand Paul said they would vote against it. This marks the 4th bill Republicans have proposed since the summer began to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) that has failed.

Senators Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy issued a joint statement which read as:

“Over the coming weeks and months, we are committed to holding congressional hearings and working with our nations’ governors who believe returning power to states is a vast improvement over Obamacare”

The fate of the American healthcare system is still uncertain. Stay tuned here for more information as it develops!
